The Hadley is a drop-leaf table defined by flexibility, proportion, and a restrained architectural form. Its composition is deliberate, allowing the table to shift from a compact footprint to a full surface while maintaining a balanced presence.
Constructed from select-grade soft maple, the painted base provides a controlled and consistent structure, allowing proportion and joinery to define the work. A solid cherry top introduces warmth and depth, creating a measured contrast between surface and base. The transition between fixed and movable elements is resolved with precision, maintaining a clear and uninterrupted elevation.
The drop-leaf form allows the table to adapt to varying uses, from smaller, space-conscious placement to expanded dining or work surfaces. Each element remains disciplined, supporting both function and proportion without excess.
Built entirely by hand using traditional 18th-century joinery, The Hadley is suited to kitchens, dining areas, and smaller interiors where flexibility and architectural clarity are required.
