The Newbury is a traditional linen press defined by its vertical proportion and balanced two-part form. A lower case of graduated drawers supports an upper cupboard, creating a clear and ordered composition suited to storage without excess.
Constructed in solid cherry, the material introduces warmth and depth while maintaining a controlled, refined surface. The structure is precise and consistent, allowing proportion and joinery to define the work. Drawers and doors are fitted with care, forming a quiet, uninterrupted facade.
The upper cupboard provides adjustable shelving for linens or clothing, while the graduated drawers below offer organized storage with a clear visual hierarchy. The relationship between the two is deliberate, resolving function through proportion rather than ornament.
Built entirely by hand using traditional 18th-century joinery, The Newbury is suited to bedrooms, dressing rooms, and interiors where vertical storage is required with clarity and restraint.
