The Newport is a trestle table defined by its length, proportion, and structural clarity. Its horizontal span is balanced by a disciplined base, creating a composed architectural presence suited to larger dining environments.
Constructed from select-grade soft maple, the painted base provides a controlled and consistent structure, allowing the joinery and form to define the work. A solid cherry top introduces warmth and depth, resolving the composition through a measured contrast of material. The relationship between top and base is deliberate, emphasizing stability and proportion.
The trestle form allows for unobstructed seating while maintaining a strong, grounded stance. Each element is reduced to its essential function, resulting in a table that reads as both purposeful and restrained.
Built entirely by hand using traditional 18th-century joinery, The Newport is suited to dining rooms and gathering spaces where scale, clarity, and presence are required.
