The Portsmouth is a narrow-profile pie safe defined by its vertical proportion and restrained presence. Its scale is deliberate—allowing it to function in tighter spaces while maintaining a composed, architectural stance.
Constructed from select-grade soft maple, the painted body provides a controlled and consistent structure, allowing proportion and joinery to define the work. A cherry top introduces warmth and contrast, resolving the piece through a measured relationship of material and form. Doors are fitted with precision, set with pierced panels that provide ventilation while maintaining a disciplined facade.
The interior offers enclosed storage suited to pantry goods, linens, or household items, with a focus on function resolved through proportion rather than excess detail.
Built entirely by hand using traditional 18th-century joinery, The Portsmouth is suited to kitchens, dining areas, and smaller interiors where vertical storage is required without visual weight.
